Flip Flop Foundation 1st Annual Fishing Tournament and Fish Fry

We will be hosting two tournaments on Saturday October 4th, 2014.  Striper and largemouth bass with separate weigh ins and payouts for both. USA Fishing Trails will be running both tournaments. Please register at USA Fishing Trails and come enjoy a day of fishing, food and entertainment supporting the Gabe Carter Family.  Gabe Carter passed into eternal life on Sept. 21, 2013 due to an unfortunate health issue while fishing on Lake Ray Roberts leaving behind his wife Mallory and their 1 year old son Bowen.  All proceeds from this event will go to the Carter Family to help with household expenses and to begin a college fund for Bowen.  Your support and donations are appreciated. There will be a live band and fish fry beginning at noon during the weigh ins. Flip Flop Foundation First Annual Holiday Turkey Shoot

  2014 Annual Flip Flop Foundation Holiday Turkey Shoot RULES / Stations ALL shooters MUST be present for the 6:00 safety meeting to participate in the event Each shooter/team will shoot in three prepared stations. Points will be scored for each station. The total for each station will be added for an overall score. Winners will be determined from this score. In the case of a tie, those teams will compete in a shootoff from the 10yd station. Teams will compete in designated flights. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize in each flight. Flights are Men “A” ( accomplished shooters with multiple years of experience), Men “B” (fairly new shooters with limited experience),and a womens flight. Each shooter will get 10 practice rounds to familiarize themselves with the gun and distance. They will then shoot 10 rounds for scoring. There is a possible 100 points per station. Each station is to be completed in 7 minutes or less. Scoring will be determined by the Range Safety Officer or Flip Flop volunteer assigned to that designated shooting lane. Scoring is determined by the entire bullet hole being inside the scoring ring. IF any part of the hole touches or crosses into the next lower scoring ring, then that shot will count to that ring. Station #1 – 10 yds – Glock 17 – 9mm Handgun This station will have 5 individual smaller targets. Each shooter MUST shoot 2 rounds per target for score. The target will be 10yds down range.
