Shira Rohde, PhD
Shira works at Pfizer in the Worldwide Regulatory Strategy department, and has previously maintained positions in the Safety department as well since joining Pfizer in 1997. Shira served as a Pfizer Global Health Fellow in Zambia for six months in 2006, and founded the Flip Flop Foundation shortly before her return home to the U.S. She returns to Zambia three times a year to aid in the work of the Zambian team on the ground. Shira serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Flip Flop Foundation. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Columbia University. Previously, Shira had volunteered her time with various West African dance organizations in New York City. |

Andrea Guzman, MPA
Andrea has been working at the United Nations in New York since 2002, where she has served in various assignments with the Department of Management, the Office of Internal Oversight Services, and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) HIV/AIDS campaign. Prior to joining the UN, she worked as a financial analyst on Wall Street. She is a graduate of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), with a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a concentration in International Economics. She is presently a John C. Whitehead Fellow with the Foreign Policy Association as well as Communication Co-Chair for Columbia University's SIPA Alumni Board. As an undergraduate student at Rutgers University, she majored in both Economics and Biology. Andrea serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Flip Flop Foundation. She is an avid runner who enjoys racing regularly with the NY Road Runners and has completed several marathons. |

Jennifer Andreasson
Jennifer has volunteered in various capacities, including co-founding and co-leading an after-school tutoring program for immigrant children; teaching English to both adults and children; providing translation services to Spanish-speaking immigrants in the community; and teaching elementary Spanish to American volunteers prior to their assignment at a Mexican orphanage. She has traveled to Africa, Asia and Europe. Jennifer has been employed at Pfizer since 1996, and currently works in the Worldwide Regulatory Policy and Intelligence department, and has lived and worked in Belgium, Spain and the UK. She speaks Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, and is currently studying Swedish and Arabic. In addition to serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Flip Flop Foundation, she also volunteers at the International Rescue Committee and the Fresh Air Fund.

Dana Rohde, PhD
Dana is an Associate Adjunct Professor at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). She has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology at UCSF since 1997, and is the director of the Organs block integrated curriculum in the Medical School. She is also one of the original members of the Academy of Medical Educators. She holds a PhD in Physiology from UCSF. Dana has travelled extensively throughout the world with four trips to Africa, including trips to Senegal, Mali, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Morocco and Egypt. She has helped build homes with Habitat for Humanity. She has also volunteered her time at the San Francisco Food Bank, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and Special Olympics. Dana serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Flip Flop Foundation.

Keith LaScalea, MD
Keith is a physician on faculty with Weill Cornell Medical School. He did his residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and received his medical degree from The University of Chicago. In addition to his clinical practice, he is involved in teaching medical students and is an associate course director for one of the first year core courses. During his time spent delivering care in a regional hospital in Tanzania and at a clinic in western Ghana, he became aware of the critical importance of basic supplies, such as shoes, in preventing disease and promoting health. Towards this end, he will be active in fundraising and raising awareness for the Flip Flop Foundation through his marathon pursuits. |

Penelope Drake, PhD
Penelope works at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Biomolecular Resource Center Mass Spectrometry Facility. She holds a PhD from UCSF in Biochemistry, and completed postdoctoral training in glycobiology at UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate at the University of Iowa, she studied French and Spanish. Still an avid student of language and world culture, Penelope has traveled in Europe, Central America, North Africa and Asia. At home, Penelope volunteers as an ESL instructor and served as a Big Sister mentor for five years. |

Patrick Smith, MPA
Patrick is the Senior Associate Director for Employer Outreach at the Columbia University Center for Career Education, where he has worked since 2004. Prior to joining Columbia he worked as a Financial Analyst with BlackRock Inc. In 2002, he graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor's degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering. In 2007, he earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in International Economics from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). He is currently a John C. Whitehead Fellow with the Foreign Policy Association as well as a member of Columbia University's SIPA Alumni Board. Patrick has donated his time and efforts to a number of organizations including New York Cares and Protect Earth, Protect Yourself (PEPY). |

Michael Wong, MD
Mike is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is on staff in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has extensive experience in healthcare policy development from the local to the international arenas. He currently serves as the Board Chair for AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, and served as Public Policy Chair of the American Academy of HIV Medicine from 2006-2008. Internationally, he successfully developed a healthcare prevention program in Vladivostok, Russia through a USAID grant to address general vaccination strategies, bloodborne pathogens, and hospital-borne infections. He has provided external consultative services for HIV and TB rollout programs in Ukraine for Medecins sans Frontieres, and reviewed HIV/malaria/TB services for a private health consortium in Lusaka, Zambia. |

Ileen Roos
Ileen is currently enrolled at NYU's Heyman Center for Fundraising & Philanthropy in pursuit of her Master's of Science in Fundraising. She is also a full-time employee at Pfizer, where she has worked since 2002. Ileen holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and has traveled throughout western Europe. She has volunteered for numerous organizations including a reading/math tutoring program in her NYC neighborhood, the New York City Marathon, and the Red Cross at Ground Zero from September-December 2001. |
